Water is the source of life. When we raise laying hens, water is also an indispensable part. Especially in large-scale farms, drinking water from chickens is more important because chickens in chicken poultry cage equipment do not have much space for activities. Drinking is provided by the farmers. So what is the method of drinking water in the chicken house?
1. Use highly effective live attenuated vaccine
You must pay attention to the quality and validity of the vaccine before drinking. Vaccines that are inferior, expired, and improperly stored may not be used.
2. Preparation before immunization
Before drinking water, the water supply system and drinking utensils should be thoroughly rinsed, but disinfectants and detergents should not be used. Drinking utensils cannot be made of metal products, preferably porcelain and plastic appliances.
3. Choice of immune water
Drinking water should be distilled water or cold water or clean deep well water. The water should not contain heavy metal ions and halogen elements. Tap water should be boiled and left overnight before use. For large chicken farms, dechlorination agent can be added to tap water. Add 10% sodium thiosulfate 3-10 ml per 10 liters of water. The specific dosage depends on the chlorine content in the water.
4. Dilution of the vaccine
The vaccine should be bottled into water and mixed evenly with cleansing. If the outdoor wind is large, it should be diluted indoors. It is preferred to add 0.2-0.5% skim milk powder or sorbitol to the diluent for vaccine titer.
5. Stop water before immunization
Water should be stopped for 3-6 hours before immunization, and the length of water stop should be flexibly controlled according to the temperature of the room temperature and the dry and wet conditions of the feed. When the dry powder is fed at room temperature, the water stop time is shorter, and when the room temperature is low, the water stop time is longer.
Before drinking water, you must increase the number of chickens according to the number of chickens, so that more than 90% of the chickens can drink enough vaccine water at the same time. When the chickens are large and the drinking fountains are insufficient, they can be carried out in batches to prevent the vaccine water from failing during the delay.
7. Dilution concentration
The amount of water to be diluted should be appropriate, not too much or too little. It should be determined by reference to the instructions for use of the vaccine and the age and quantity of the immunized chicken and the room temperature at that time. The vaccine water should be consumed within 1-2 hours, but in order to allow each chicken to drink a sufficient amount of vaccine, the drinking time should not be less than 1 hour.
The above are some methods for drinking water immunity in the chicken house. At the same time, we must pay attention to timely cleaning the breeding equipment in the farm, keep the environment of the chicken house clean, and give the chicken a good living space in Poultry Rearing Equipment.
